Teaching Excellence Award

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must:

  • Be currently teaching at an active CACE corporate member institution, whether an Institution Member or Accredited Member.
  • Remain employed or engaged in a teaching role at that institution when the award decision is made.
  • Indicate their intention to attend the CACE Annual Conference or award presentation scheduled for June.
  • Not have received the Teaching Excellence Award within the previous two annual award cycles.

Eligible faculty members may apply directly or be nominated by a colleague or another individual.

Nominations

To nominate an eligible faculty member, email the CACE Secretariat at . The nomination should include:

  • The nominee’s full name and position.
  • The name of the CACE corporate member institution.
  • The nominee’s contact details.
  • A brief explanation of why the individual is being nominated.

    • The Secretariat will contact the nominee and provide instructions for completing the application.

    Annual nomination deadline: 30 September

    Nominees must complete the application process and submit all required materials before they can be considered for the award.

    A complete application should include:

    • The information requested by the CACE Secretariat.
    • Written responses to the published award criteria.
    • A recommendation letter from the applicant’s immediate supervisor or head of institution.
    • A current curriculum vitae.
    • A high-resolution professional photograph.
    • A statement describing the applicant’s teaching philosophy.

    CACE will acknowledge receipt of completed application materials by email. Applicants who do not receive an acknowledgement should contact .

    Incomplete or late applications may not be considered.

    Assessment and Selection

    Eligible applications will be evaluated against the Teaching Excellence Award criteria. CACE may organise the assessment by country or region where appropriate.

    Selected country or regional recipients will automatically be considered by the CACE Teaching Excellence Award Committee for the International Teaching Excellence Award. No additional application is required at this stage.

    Applicants who do not receive an award may revise their materials and apply again during a subsequent annual award cycle, subject to the eligibility requirements.

    Language of Submission

    Application materials should preferably be submitted in English. Documents prepared in another language should be accompanied by an English translation to support consistent assessment by the Teaching Excellence Award Committee.
